Solid World Partners With Ecotoken
Solid World is pleased to announce a new partnership with ecoToken, a launchpad for environmental projects that provides new revenue models through the creation and tokenization of environmental credits. Users can fund ecoProjects by planting or staking to them and earning an expected yield when the project is successful. The ecoToken System is also a place where individuals and corporations can offset their environmental impact.
In a statement announcing the partnership, Solid World Core Contributor Teele Tuuling said, “Eco-token is solving a big issue in farming — methane emissions. Taking care of that problem is making a huge impact. At Solid World, our focus is to be the biggest infrastructure for pre-certified carbon credits, and we hope to soon have a credit pool for projects like this! EcoToken also issued a statement on the partnership, saying that, “We believe that the Solid World DAO has the ability to bring about immense change through its prepurchase model. Environmental projects creating credits can be very costly and often with little to no upfront investment, this leads to projects that could have a significant impact being pushed off due to a lack of capital. This is an issue we are also attempting to help solve through our launchpad. Solid World DAO is one of the key missing pieces in the climate push. As we are able to generate protocols, significantly more projects will become economically viable thanks to Solid World’s pre-purchases. We thank them for their innovation and are incredibly excited to partner with them moving forward.”
Solid World DAO is creating a transparent carbon market that will enable the pre-funding of high-quality sequestration-based carbon projects to help them get off the ground. The platform will also enable the commodification of carbon credits, and provide much-need liquidity to the carbon economy. Solid World will also allow users to trade many different types of pre-purchased carbon credits from agricultural, reforestation, and blue carbon sources.
